Qualifications:
As a former English teacher I have a firm grasp on grammar and sentence structure. I have taught all high school grades and levels in English as well as creative writing. Because I have tried many styles of writing with my students throughout the years, I can say that I am unafraid to take on any specific content or style demands. I love learning new things so if I don't already know about the subject area of your needs, I am quite skilled in researching both the library and the Internet.
I was credited as a researcher for seven-time best-selling author Armin Brott (Mr. Dad), in his most recent book The Military Father: A Hands-on Guide for Deployed Dads.
I also worked with a military officer to help convert his voice into the style required for submission.
I am skilled in formatting papers in APA, MLA, Turabian and Chicago Styles.
I have proofed and edited many, many essays for submission to contests as well as academic reports and research papers.
I have been published in both The Trussville Tribune and The Mobile Press as an essayist and a poet.
I worked as an adjunct professor for Troy University where I taught Shakespeare's Comedies and Tragedies.
My essay, "Love, Squared" was published in The Bark magazine (May/June2009).
